After months of extensive renovation, Black Stallion Winery opened its doors in May of 2007 to become the latest addition to the small collection of wineries in Napa Valley’s newly designated Oak Knoll District. This appellation is distinguished by a temperate mezzo-climate that is frequently cooler than other regions of the Napa Valley, and is quickly gaining a reputation for producing wines that are both elegant and complex. Under the direction of winemaker Charles Hendricks, Black Stallion Winery will focus on creating ultra-premium wines of character and distinction. The current portfolio contains nine different varietals, including a cabernet sauvignon, a chardonnay and a dessert wine. Total case production for Black Stallion Winery’s first vintage is 3,200 cases. All Black Stallion wines will be sold exclusively on location at the winery or through the website.
