Documentary On Miljenko “Mike” Grgich To Premiere At 2012 Napa Valley Film Festival

Mike GrgichSeptember 25, 2012, Rutherford, CA – Grgich Hills Estate today announced that Miljenko “Mike” Grgich, President and Winemaker of Grgich Hills Estate and Vintner’s Hall of Fame Inductee, is the subject of the documentary Like the Old Vine that will premiere at the 2012 Napa Valley Film Festival at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7 at the Cameo Cinema, 1340 Main Street, St. Helena. Seating is very limited and requires a reservation; audience members should arrive 20 minutes before showtime. Passes are available for purchase at napavalleyfilmfest.org.

Like the Old Vine describes Mike Grgich’s extraordinary life, achievements and how his “American Dream” became a reality. The documentary will show some interesting unpublished events about the 1976 Paris Tasting. Like the Old Vine was filmed by Croatian Radiotelevision in the Napa Valley, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and Mike’s birthplace in Desne, Croatia.

Mike Grgich and the documentary’s director, Milka Barišic, will have a Question-and-Answer session with the audience following the screening. Afterwards, attendees are invited to join them in celebrating this memorable event at a private reception at Grgich Hills Estate.
